It seems incredible that the video's I shot for a few of the songs from my 2005 EP "Free" have had so many views.
As of today - this being June 15th 2007, the video I shot for "Drink" has reached over 1000 video views on MySpace alone. If I combine the stats from Youtube's 658 and the 3309 from www.MickaelMaddison.com , Drink has been viewed at least 4967 times. This doesn't even include the views on sites like CBC, facebook, google, truveo and so forth.
"Castle on a Cloud" shows up on MySpace with 541 views and on Youtube 2418. I'm not sure why Youtube viewers prefer Castle on a Cloud...
"When I'm Free" shows up at a combined total of 900 on MySpace and Youtube. In 2005 the original version of the "When I'm Free" video shows up on my site as having had over 339,222 views...
It's amazing how a digital camcorder, a little video editing software, some footage, and of course, an original song end up all over the internet. I've received all sorts of emails and comments from people all over the world, most good and a few that were less friendly. I even have confirmation that at least 2 of the top executives at Sony/ATV have had a peek.
Anyway, stay tuned. Recording is in progress...
