Dang, the world seems like a busy place sometimes. There are those incredibly rare days where it seems there's nothing to do, and then there are those days, weeks, and months where it seems there's nothing but things to do. So what, that's not news now is it? Well I suppose I should update the world on a few things.
First, the band has put our third live show behind us. Heroes Pub with The Mellomaniacs and ViV SAVAGE was a great time. There's only a moment to relax though. This Thursday we set the stage for The Mellomaniacs at The Blue Grotto. It's only Monday and already I'm running out of tickets.
Next, business is moving along well. We're working with a couple groups that wish to migrate their clients over to our hosting platform. It's a lot of work for everyone, but in the long run it should bode well. We've been testing out a new anti-spam system in the form of a custom-built email gateway server. It's been a rough battle so far, as the battle against spam has become so incredibly complex. There's really no simple solution to spam using todays antiquated email protocols. We've had great reviews from the few alpha testers we've had on board so far.
Don't worry. My opinions haven't disappeared from the planet. Hardly a day goes by without some article or news story leaving me wondering how this world functions as well as it does. I wonder how it's possible for the world to sustain this excessive western culture we enjoy. The lavish and generally unhealthy foods, our thirst for fuel, and our desire to pay as little as possible for everything we use and enjoy all seem to trace back to someone in the world suffering for our benefit. This will all change, of course, if we do not find a cost-effective way to replace our thirst for fuel in the next 25-50 years. We just have to wait and see what our great scientists and business guru's can come up with.
It's Monday, and there's a pile of email requiring my attention (and plenty of undesirable garbage to just delete). I'll be heading down to the office now to see how big of a dent I can make in the pile.
